About

Here's Sam before his surgery.
I'm opening this blog in support of my grandnephew, Sam, who at 4-1/2 years old had a brain tumor removed this April, 2012, and is now going through radiation & chemo. He is a trooper; his mother is providing saintly support and they need all the help we can muster.

Quilting is my passion, and with so much energy invested in each of my quilts, I figure that not only their physical qualities are appropriate for healing, but the funds from their sales will be put to good use by Sam's family.
I'm offering a selected group of my quilts for sale to benefit Sam's medical fund that has been set up through the Oregon Community Credit Union, his family and his ongoing needs. To reach the widest number of people possible, I'm posting this on Facebook and you may repost it to your friends to increase the circle, who may again, repost, etc. Also, please feel free to send this link to your friends through email.

Take a look at the gallery of quilts. I hope you enjoy them and are moved to want to purchase and live with one. There's a wide variety - of styles, traditional and contemporary; of sizes, from very small wall quilts, to bed-sized, appropriate either for a bed or wall; and of prices, intending to fit every budget.

I will be adding new quilts periodically, so keep checking back if you don't see anything that fits your needs or budget.

I'm still working out how to do the payment thing. You can email me at okko@cox.net, please put 'Sam' in the subject line so I'll recognize your message. You can also find me on Facebook as 'Kristin Otte,' Goleta CA. If you need more information about any of the quilts, you can contact me and I'll give you more details. I can also email you a close-up photo of the quilt.

I've known Sam's mother, Jen since she was seven years old - she can vouch for me. I'm thinking now, that the easiest process would be to send me a check for the quilt plus shipping and I'll pass it along to Sam's family and I'll send you your quilt choice. I GUARANTEE MY WORK -  if you're not satisfied, you may return it to me and I'll refund your money.

I'll be adding some 'Sam quotes':
SQ "When they give me the sleeping medicine, it makes me sparkle."
